Roman snail

Description:

A spotting of a snail in itself is not very special, but looking at it's underside when crawling over a window pane reveals (at least to me) some interesting things. For instance, the movement of the foot when it moves forward. Very special is the breathing whole inside the shell, opening and closing at regular intervals. I got the impression the animal was actively looking for the raindrops on the window pane and drinking it, but maybe it was just a coincidence. Any comment on this would be gratefully accepted. I found this "ordinary" animal to be very gracious.
