Habitat:

under rhododendron leaf hiding from my gaze, kept moving to the top and then under as I tried to focus on it, rested under the leaf finally where I was able to photograph it

I couldn't figure out what this insect was when I first saw it either. Thanks to another user, my Barklouse was ID'd and now I know what it is and I can share that knowledge!
