An impressive 1.5m (5ft) long Bengal Monitor Lizard happened to stroll my plantation. My two dogs, used to detect snakes, barked in a way I knew probably a snake. I went there with my camera and saw this huge animal. It was quiet but also scared of the dogs. I managed the dogs away and took a few pics of the lizard. Then managed to get it in a net and bring it to the temple forest, where animals are protected, and where more monitors live.
