Description:

Pale Shield Lichen, found on northern trees and logs, is a leaf-like, grayish-green lichen up to 6 inches across, with pale to dusky-brown, lobed and jagged margins. Fruiting bodies are rare.

Habitat:

Grows on wood, not to be confused with the common Boulder Lichens.
