No, I guess you're right. It's difficult to identify it from this photo. I appreciate the help though, thank you :) If I'm lucky I might remember one day!

Well, here's a stab in the dark! Cobra Caninana? Spilotes pullatus, the highly variable tiger rat snake http://www.flickr.com/photos/travelrod/5... and http://www.flickr.com/photos/fjota/27242... There's no way to be certain, I think.
