Spotting

Description:

About the size of a basketball & found at the base of a eucalypt in south Gippsland. Appeared to be a kind of colony made of a number of conjoined fungi. Mainly lightish brown on the top with a dark brown on the underside.

Habitat:

Wet eucalyptus bush - close to an active waterfall, lots of wet leaf litter.

Interesting. It looks like pores on the fertile surface? The only one I know like that is Polyporus badius. Maybe an old one of those.
