Grassland within the Maasai Mara
The Topi is a pure grazer with the ability to select green leaf within swards of dry grass. The Topi is one of only three antelopes to form breeding leks. In certain spots where females regularly congregate, males cluster on traditional breeding grounds; most females visit this 'lek' on their day of estrus and mate with the fittest males.
