Woodland Sunflower

Description:

Flower heads of the Woodland Sunflower have yellow petals and a yellow center, stems and leaves are rough to touch. The plant usually grows in large clumps. Leaves are dark green, finely toothed, lance-shaped.

Habitat:

Spotted on the Tamarac Blackbird Drive along edges and clearings of deciduous woods.

Notes:

Woodland Sunflower belongs to the Aster family.
