I first thought this was a leaf, then when I looked closer, I realized that this was something else. I have no idea what this is.

Thank you Scott. So, I moved this to "arthropods." Whatever it is, I am sure that it is empty as winter is approaching here...
Well I don't know exactly what it is, a nest? cocoon? But it was made by an arthropod I imagine. You should probably move it to that group.
