Prunella vulgaris
The plant belongs to the mint family Lamiaceae. The leaves are lance-shaped and growing in opposite pairs down the square stem. The purple two-lipped flowers grow from a clublike cluster. The young leaves and stems can be eaten raw in salads. Herbal tea from Self-heal can be made from both fresh inflorescences and the dried plant.
