You already got a suggestion from Joby and yes it is a Hoopoe, Upupa epops. Note the 3 "+" you already have in the suggestion box, that means 3 people agree with the suggestion and it is no more considered as unknown. The only thing you have to do is adding both, scientific and common name by editing your spotting (top right). What happened to thebird afterwards. Did you see it fly away? Would be interesting to hear the whole story. You might add theses infos in the description section, so everybody can see them.

Hi, sorry for the late reply. Yes, i guess it was injured, didn't fly anymore. We picked it up on a mountain road where we almost overridden it... There are some pics from in my hand without the green box color, i'll post it asap. You know what bird it is?
