Hi @SukanyaDatta, thanks for the tips. This caterpillar was on an unidentified plant in a garden in South Jakarta. We think maybe it's a tussock moth? But it didn't have the clumps of hair like those do. I'll check with other students to see if they have a better photo we can post.

Hello ansauer,
Welcome to Project Noah.
This is a site dedicated to wildlife; so you can share photos that you have taken of wildlife and engage with the PN community. Please do not take photos from the Internet or from others without permission.
Please always fill in where you saw it; not just information about where it is found.
Multiple shots help others to ID a spotting for you. This is especially true in case of flowers (please also post leaves, stem and entire plant if possible).
Also, if you crop your shots so that the actual animal/plant can be seen clearly it helps others to make a better suggestion. For example in this photo I think it is a Gypsy moth caterpillar but I cannot be sure. I hope you understand and do not mind.
Enjoy the site. Keep posting. Have fun. See you around.
