Eastern Cottontail Rabbit

Sylvilagus floridanus

Description:

A chunky red-brown or gray-brown in appearance with large hind feet, long ears and a short fluffy white tail. Its underside fur is white.

Habitat:

This young one was hiding under the newly planted salvia next to the porch. Eventually went into the parking strip to eat grass.
