Lithobates sylvaticus
These frogs are usually brown, tan, or rust colored with a dark eye mask and yellowish underbellies. Wood frog tadpoles feed on algae, eggs, or larvae. Once Wood frogs become older they begin to eat a variety of forest floor invertebrates.
Wood Frog's live in the forest and breed in freshwater wetlands, usually vernal pools. The Adult frogs spend their summers in woodlands, swamps, bogs, or ravines.
