Western rattlesnake

crotalus viridis

Medium sized, gray body, many brown stripes pointing left and right, about 4 centimeters up and down 6 left and right and each one 3 centimeters apart.

Foot hill oak forest.

It was very docile, surprising for how warm it was. Found under boards at a small wood shed about 4 meters away from a seasonal stream with many live oak trees.
