Description:

small, fleshy, fragrant, orange-yellow mushroom with gill-like folds under the cap, folds that fork between cap margin and stem, and descend stem somewhat (rather than angling upwards)

Habitat:

on ground under spruce, Telluride, Colorado

Notes:

a choice edible mushroom very common some summers, scarce others
