There were plenty of these along the Jacques-Cartier river. The flower i guess sort of looks like broccoli.
Hi, this is a type of bulrush. It is hard to say, but it looks like green bulrush (Scirpus atrovirens). Other varieties in Quebec are hard-stemmed bullrush (Schoenoplectus acutus) and soft-stemmed bullrush (Schoenoplectus tabernaemontani).
