American lobster (split color variation)

Homarus americanus

Description:

This is my favorite of the rare color variations on the American lobster. Perfect bilateral split between normal color and a lighter pigment.

Habitat:

In shore waters off Midcoast Maine.

Notes:

The blue, calico and albino varieties are also pretty great to see...

This is natural I have seen one in person alive it's very real but VERY rare, i'm pretty sure this individual is also a hermaphrodite, if not I saw one individual in a magazine that was.
