A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Project Noah Nature School
Family Arctiidae
1" long
rainforest growing on limestone
spotted this on the guesthouse at Cuc phoung
ok, thanks. I looked up tiger moth on google images. I learned that it is also the name of a small plane and browsing the pics I saw a photo of another insect that I spotted in Thailand a few years ago which I had no idea what it was. thanks again
From its shape and ornate patterning I'd guess a kind of tiger moth, but that's a big family.
thanks, now if I could just get someone to ID it!
stunning shot!
