Pitangus Sulphuratus
Tyrant flycatcher, about 7-8 inches long. Yellow underbelly , brown upper body. Black head with a white eyestripe and a yellow crest which is concealed and is sometimes used in mating displays (not visible here).
Wide range, North and South America... this one found in my home country , Trinidad and Tobago where they are quite numerous.
This particular bird was found with a possibly injured neck ( or suffering from a condition I read about called stargazing ) ... after being left in a box it calmed down and recovered from the shock, but not from its injuries. The bird succumbed to its injuries approximately one day after being found... sad story.. wish i could have helped.

That's a really sad story. They are really common here in Colombia.
