Grasshopper

Description:

1/2 inch (but there were ones half that size)

Habitat:

spotted on the sand just above the high tide mark

Notes:

These tiny guys were perfectly camoflauged: they jumped as I walked along (and it took quite sometime to get a picture). And they were yards and yards away from the first thing green.
