My favorite wildlife sanctuary in the Hobart area is Bonorong (http://www.bonorong.com.au/). It's also about 15 minutes from where I live. Drop me an email (address is in my profile) and maybe we could meet up there. Cheers, Lori.

Not a very pleasant close encounter, WA is very surprising :)
I didn't know the male is so much smaller than the female, very interesting...

By the way, I am travelling to Hobart this weekend and I hope to see the devils.

I almost walked face-first into one of these in WA.

The little spider is the male. He just hangs out on the female's web hoping to get lucky.
