Perennial, herbaceous plant, flowers from February to April. It sprouts from a belowground rhizome.

Habitat:

Dry, warm places on well drained soils, often found in stone pits or unhitched paths.

Notes:

Leaves and Flowers can be used for salads or tea. Tea can help to cure infections of the respiratory system.
