Spotting

Description:

Yellow stripes on its black abdomen, with a long "snout" with antennae at the end of the snout.

Habitat:

Tropical rainforest, found within decaying wood.

Notes:

Maybe some sort of weevil? I'm at a loss for what this one is.

Nance, that does seem pretty close. I think that's the correct family--I've found a local species in that family and its morphology is similar.

I have got to spot one of those elongated weevils too.

i definately think its a weevil, limited to tropical distribution as i have seen similar ones in indonesia.
