Is a genus Cynomys esciuromorfos rodent family Sciuridae, commonly known as prairie dogs, Native American North currently in Canada, Mexico and the United States. In this semiarid zone of the country is a vast field surrounded by xerophytic scrub where the dogs live in colonies and dig tunnels and burrows in the earth that connect to each other

Chihuahua desert

This species is endemic to Mexico. Is in danger of extinction.
