A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Phascolarctos cinereus
May people think a Koala is a bear, but in fact, a Koala is a marsupial as it carries it's babies in a pouch. This is a native animal of Australia which feeds on leaves of the Gum Tree. Grey in colour with a flat broad nose.
This koala was photographed at Taronga Zoo, Sydney Australia. In the wild, Koala's can be found in the Australian bush, perched up in gum trees.
