Black Swallowtail

Papilio polyxenes

Habitat:

woodlands, fields, rivers, creeks, roadsides, and gardens

Notes:

While most butterflies I've tried to photograph flit from flower to flower rather quickly, this girl seemed happy to take her time on this one bloom.
