Atlantic Mole Crab

Emerita talpoida

Description:

Very plentiful. They seemed to stay in groups. You could see them filtering when the waves would wash over the sand and then they would burrow back down when the waves were gone. Only their eyes and two arms would stick out of the sand.

Habitat:

The wet sandy area of a beach where the waves wash over.
