Tarantula skin

Avicularia sp

This skin is from a very hairy light brown tarantula. It appears to be a medium sized tarantula with a leg span of around 6 inches.

This skin was found on the floor in a building in the Amazon rainforest of SE Ecuador. They are very common in houses here.

Common to find shed skins. This one was in pretty good shape and I could get a shot with it open and "put together."
