Northern Flicker

Notes:

I found this flicker in her nest in the morning, but had to wait about eight hours before the sun lit up the side of the tree she was on, and then spent another forty five minutes staring at the nest hole, unsure she was even in there. Well, she was, and gave me a second to snap this photo. Patience pays off!
