I think this could be a pollen beetle, but it looks too lightly coloured. Any ideas?

Pea Weevil isn't a bad suggestion although the head of these is a lot shorter (you can see them better in the second picture).
How large was it? It looks very like the pea weevil (Sitona lineatus) but doesn't have the dark stripes down the wing cases. Could be a closely related species.
