Lemur catta
The ring-tailed lemur's trademark—a long, bushy tail—is ringed in alternating black and white transverse stripes, numbering 12 or 13 white rings and and 13 or 14 black rings, and always ending in a black tip. The ring-tailed lemur is a relatively large lemur. Its average weight is 2.2 kilograms (4.9 lb).
Endemic to southern and southwestern Madagascar, the ring-tailed lemur ranges further into highland areas than other lemurs. It inhabits deciduous forests, dry scrub, montane humid forests, and gallery forests
This wild ring tailed lemur was one of a pair who were fairly used to humans. I saw them in the small village of Ranohira, next to Isalo National Park. I saw them in the park as well, but from a distance. This lemur ran about around the village. It even played around with locals who were playing soccer.

Physically fit!
It's great to see young minds so passionately into nature. Project Noah is a perfect place for her to start.
Your welcome. Thanks for taking such wonderful pictures. One day I hope that Lily will get to travel the world and see all these creatures. I think is going to be some kind of biologist or naturalist when she is older. She has a real passion of all living things.
This is definitely the inspiration for King Julien. I'm glad you and her are enjoying my collection. Thanks for all your favorites.
As we are looking at all of your pictures Lily (6) says that is King Julienne from the movie Madagascar. Sh is really loving looking at all the pictures and so am I.
