Spotting

Description:

She is nesting in our backyard! Hard to identify because she is covered in mud. Looks like a slider, but I did not spot a red stripe on head, so maybe a different species.

Habitat:

We live close to the lake and there is a creek about 100 ft from where she is nesting.

Notes:

I intend to erect a small barrier around the nest to protect it until the eggs hatch.
