Chipmunk

Description:

They are 4 to 11 inches long, 2 to 6 inches high, and weigh 2 to 5 ounces. Shares environment with bears and squirrels. Has a mutualism relationship with an oak tree. Gives shelter and food for chipmunk. Chipmunk spreads seeds when it poops the oak nut out.Has a parasitism relationship with hawks.mHawk has food, Chipmunk is dead. They can run fast to get away from predators. They also have a good sense of smell to sense danger. The color of their bodies help them blend into the surrounding areas. Their sharp teeth and claws are used to find and dig up food or to make burrows. They are sexual. Two chipmunks (male and female) get together and have sex then sperm and egg unite. Which results into a zygote then an embryo. Which forms a baby chipmunk.

Habitat:

Chipmunks live in deserts and forests/woods. Are found in Canada and the United States of America. They eat nuts, berries, grain, bird eggs, and fungi, prey on minks, insects, small frogs, worms, snails, slugs, and small snakes The predators of chipmunks are hawks, eagles, other birds, and cats. Helps Oak trees by eating the food from it then pooping it out which spreads the seeds
