A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
That is exactly what Claire is growing in the School Garden. I will be watching it for her while she goes to North Carolina for the Summer.
This citron is by far the most unusual citrus variety. The fruit resembles a hand with finger like segments. The fruit contains no flesh and is entirely made up of white pith. The finger like segments can be cut and eaten or used to make candy peel. The fruit also produces a wonderful fresh scent when left in the fruit bowl or on display. The tree is strong growing with large leaves with prominent veins.
