Description:

The Sun Drop flower is one of the common names for oenothera, a flowering plant native to the Americas. The oenothera is also referred to as Sun Cup and Evening-Primrose.

Habitat:

True to their name, Sun Drop flowers love heat, sunlight and dry soil--they can even survive a drought.

Notes:

This one is growing like a weed. In two years it tok over the flower bed.

Hmm - predatory primrose preys on plants!! lol. Out here the primrose are quite solitary since we dont have much water. Depending on the species also depends on how they grow. Good luck taming the bed!

Interesting!
No, I have to admit, this grows like a weed in that bed..it killed other perenials and spread out of the bed into every crack on the walkway and near the rain gutters!!
I had some "chicks & Hens" and cant find them..

I love this flower! I see it everywhere out here in Utah and wasn't aware that it grew back east. Wow. I thought it was a desert flower. Learn something new every day!! Love project Noah!
