Ground Squirrel Burrows

Spermophilus beecheyi


These were multiple burrows and located on sloped grounds. i have seen the squirrels running in and out of here. Next time i will try to catch the squirrels in the pic!! The animals make burrows on slopes to decrease the risk of flooding, and to provide good visibility around the burrow entrances.
