Solanum

Solanum seaforthianum

Description:

This flowering plant is about 2 1/2 feet tall and at this stage looks like a small plant and not a shrub. The flowers appear to have two colors of stamen and pistil.

Habitat:

Open meadows, sunny.

Notes:

Looking closely I discovered this new to me purple flowering plant. There are different Solanum species on this Island.

Yes,the shipping and trading routes interchanged a lot of things and the climates are similar. Bermuda has some colorful plants. I happened upon a website and it was interesting to see what was growing there.

I found that many plants are exchanged between India-Madagascar-Caribbean countries.
