Description:

A territorial pika species that is endemic to the Tibetan plateau region, residing only in a small geographic area near the intersection of Qinghai Province, Sichuan Province, and Tibet Autonomous Region. Had not been observed and reported for the better part of a century, until photographed around 1998 by Foggin (according to mammalogist at the Smithsonian Institution).
