Allium sativum
This is an unknown variety of garlic that was procured from a local gardener, who planted it from a bulb of garlic bought at a grocery store many years ago.
This is a hard-necked variety of garlic. The bulbs have silvery outer skin, and a purplish inner skin. The flavor of the garlic is strong and somewhat spicy.
