I've made this mistake once before helping someone make an ID. I'm not sure Ashish now that you bring up the other possibility of it being an assassin bug.

This is one of the leaf-footed bugs called Leptoglossus. Not sure which species. You may want to narrow your search starting at: http://bugguide.net/node/view/245/bgimag...
