Russian quince

Description:

They are growing in my next door neighbours garden but are over growing into ours, we have a dog and not sure if she's gonna get a munch when they fall off..... So just curious to what they are.

Habitat:

Wet and nasty english weather... lol

Notes:

Just added the inside of the "fruit" so you guys can make a better judgement

I have one. Does it have sharp thorns and res blossom? It's either a Russian or Japanese quince
