Could be if it's a garden escape. That particular hollyhock species seems to be fairly popular as a garden plant.

Apologize for the typo. Meant fig shaped petals and not leaves.

Alcea ficifolia,??
Any possibility at all? considering the fig shaped leaves?

It looks like it's definitely a member of the Mallow family, like hollyhock. Possibly Malva sylvestris judging by the shape of the leaves, although the petals of M. sylvestris tend to have more of a notch in them. Perhaps an exotic garden escape?

Alice, the petals of this flower are bending downwards.
Appreciate your suggestion..Every little clue leads to an ID.

Could it be Holly hocks on a long stem?
