Cannaceae

Description:

This Canna is a large green leaf with dark red edge on the young leaf. As it matures it becomes all green. The flower is dark red bud opening to deep orange flowers.

Notes:

Canna (or Canna lily, although not a true lily) is a genus of nineteen species of flowering plants.[1][2][3] The closest living relations to cannas are the other plant families of the order Zingiberales, that is the gingers, bananas, marantas, heliconias, strelitzias, etc.[4] Canna is the only genus in the family Cannaceae. --Wikipedia
