These little guys looked like pieces of frayed yard on the back of a milkweed plant.
Alice, you were right about that. I thought monarchs were the only caterpillars that laid eggs and dined on milkweed. Learned something today.
Thanks for telling us what they were on, that is one step forward in ID work.
