Description:

A young giraffe walks along a dirt road in the Maasai Mara National Reserve in south-western Kenya. The second photo is of the young giraffe along with an adult giraffe walking through the high grass of the reserve.

Habitat:

The Maasai Mara National Reserve (MMNR) covers some 1,510 km (583 sq mi) in south-western Kenya. The terrain of the reserve is primarily open grassland with seasonal riverlets.
