Description:

Saw these Drosera sp. which are starting to flower. Flowers are white with yellow stamens. Would have said they were Drosera glanduligera but for the flower colour.

Habitat:

grassland adjacent Eucalypt forest, Adelaide hills

Notes:

Droseraceae are a small insectivorous herb of 4 genera and about 100 species.Leaves of Drosera in a basal rosette and/or along the stem, covered in sticky glandular hairs. Flowers regular bisexual, petals 4 or 5 sometimes more. Stamens 4 or 5. Ovary superior with 1 chamber. Fruit a capsule, enclosed in the persistent calyx, seeds many and small.
