Flowers have very dark pinky peach buds and then open to this lighter pink. Right now something is eating the leaves.

Yes is real rose. India we made Gulkand from it. A nutritious tonic made with Petals of fragrant Rose.

Probably some caterpillar. If you look on the under side of a leaf, you might find the culprit! Then take a picture of him before you kill him and put the photo on Project Noah for us to see!:)
