Thank you all for your nice comments! I flew from Tana to the Amber Mountain in the hope of seeing this little fella! We went on a hike with a guide thinking he would show them to us. At the end of the hike, suprised I did ask why he didn't show us any and he was surprised I had even heard about them. Then he bent and looked on the floor under dead leaves and found one within a few minutes, and gave it to me to look at! This chameleon is apparently the only kind not leaving in trees but on the floor.
Hope this answer all your questions. It was indeed a truly amazing experience!

I saw this in a documentary they showed on the BBC not too long ago here that was all about Madagascar. I could not believe a vertebrate so TINY existed! It's amazing that you found one, I think I'd have been too frightened to touch it out of fear I'd break it!! Incredible what lives in our strange world, isn't it?
