Hymenocallis littoralis
The flower had a white, disk like petal radiating from a light green center. Six thick petals also radiated from the center, drooped down to the ground. I believe the plant was rooted in the ground, unlike an orchid.

Looks a look like a white spider lily Hymenocallis littoralis. Maybe it is a variation...
